인물소개

충남 당진 출생이다. 한국외국어대학교 문학박사를 받았고 University of Hawaii에서 연구했다. 1986~1988년까지 MBC-TV 미국생활영어 진행을 했고, 단국대학교 시청각교육실장을 역임했다. 현재 단국대학교 인문대학 영어과 교수다. 저서로 'Situational English for Koreans', 'Real-Time English, U.S.A', 'Global English for Koreans', 'Linguistic Determinism: A Lexical Approach to the Sapir-Whorf Hypothesis', 'How Americans Speak and Write', '생생회화Elusive Expression for Korean Speakers of English', '생생회화Ⅱ Still More to Say in Engilsh', 'An Eye for Current English'가 있다.
