인물소개

뉴욕 주에 있는 콜게이트 로체스터 크로저 신학교(Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School) 신약학 교수로 재직하고 있으며, 초기 기독교 문헌을 제국, 인종, 문화, 경제, 젠더의 교차성과 탈식민주의 관점에서 해석하는 작업을 해왔다. 북미 성서학회(Society of Biblical Literature)에서 유색인종 학자들의 연대를 도모하는 일들을 해왔으며, Semeia Studies와 International Voices in Biblical Studies의 편집위원으로 활동하고 있다. 저서로서Postcolonial Discipleship of Embodiment: An Asian and Asian American Feminist Reading of the Gospel of Mark (Palgrave Macmillan, 2015)가 있으며, Minoritized Women Reading Race and Ethnicity: Intersectional Approaches to Constructed Identity and Early Christian Texts (Lexington Books, 2020), Faith, Class, and Labor: Intersectional Approaches in a Global Context (Pickwick Publications, 2020), “Systemic Racism and the Global Pandemic: Negotiating Race and Ethnicity in Asian American Biblical Criticism” (Bible and Critical Theory, 2020), Activist Hermeneutics of Liberation in the Bible: A Global Intersectional Perspective (Routledge, 2023) 등의 책을 공동 편집하고 집필했다.
