인물소개

캐나다 토론토에 있는 요크 대학에서 심리학의 특훈 교수(distinguished professor)이며 요크 대학 심리치료 연구 클리닉의 원장으로 있다. 치료를 위한 정서중심 접근에 대한 주요 저서의 저자이며 다음 저서로는 Working With Narrative in Emotion-Focused Therapy가 있다(2011년에 발간됨). Society for Psychotherapy Research (SPR)의 전 대표이며 SPR Distinguished Research Career Award와 Carl Rogers Award of the American Psychological Association을 받았다. 그는 개인과 커플을 위한 심리치료를 하고 있으며, 또한 정서중심 접근에 대한 훈련을 시키고 있다.
