인물소개

조지아대학교 국제관계학 교수다. 네덜란드 레이던대학교에서 석사와 박사학위를 받았고, 에든버러대학교 조교수와 안트베르펜대학교 부교수를 지냈다. 미국과 유럽의 포퓰리즘, 극단주의, 정당정치, 이슬람 혐오 등에 대해 연구하고 있다. 저서로는 《포퓰리즘Populism》, 《유럽의 극우 포퓰리즘 정당Populist Radical Right Parties in Europe》, 《중동부 유럽의 인종주의적 극단주의Racist Extremism in Central and Eastern Europe》, 《미국의 극우The Far Right in America》 등이 있고, 편저로는 《유럽과 미국의 포퓰리즘Populism in Europe and the Americas》 등이 있다. Cas Mudde is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Political Science at the University of Antwerp. He is the author of The Ideology of the Extreme Right (2000) and the editor of Racist Extremism in Central and Eastern Europe (2005).
