인물소개

필라델피아(Philadelphia)의 루터신학교(Lutheran Theological Seminary), 독일의 튀빙엔 대학교(University of Tübingen) 및 필라델피아의 (현재의) 드로시 대학교(Dropsie University)에서 신학/히브리어를 공부했다. 또한 필라델피아의 루터신학교에서 1972년부터 2004년까지 구약 및 히브리어 교수로 가르쳤고, 성경을 학문적으로 분석한 20여권의 책을 집필, 공동 집필, 편집했다. 대표작으로 본서 Ancient Myths and Biblical Faith: Spiritual Transformations (1983) 외에 다음과 같다. - Exodus.
