인물소개

Ted Nasmith is a Canadian artist, illustrator and architectural renderer. He is best known as an illustrator of works by J.R.R. Tolkien, in particular, The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit and The Silmarillion. Indeed he is one of the best known and loved Tolkien illustrators. / 캐나다 토론토에 거주하고 있으며, 40여 년간 톨킨의 주요 저작물에 일러스트를 그려왔다. 〈실마릴리온〉〈반지의 제왕〉 일러스트 에디션 및 로버트 포스터의 저작 〈가운데땅의 완전한 안내서〉의 일러스트로 톨킨 문학선 독자들에게 잘 알려져 있다. 톨킨 문학선의 주요 일러스트레이터로서, 영화 〈반지의 제왕〉〈호빗〉에도 그의 영향력은 잘 반영되고 있다.
