인물소개

네덜란드 레이던대학교 근대사 부교수로 주요 연구주제는 스페인 문화사, 유럽의 지방 정체성과 민족 정체성이다. 최근에 The Culture of Regionalism: Art, Architecture and International Exhibitions in France, Germany and Spain, 1890-1939(2010), The Discovery of El Greco: The Nationalization of Culture versus the Rise of Modern Art(2016). 요스트 아우구스타인과 공동으로 Region and State in Nineteenth-Century Europe: Nation-Building, Regional Identities and Separatism(2012), 호세 누네즈 세이사스와 공동으로 Regionalism and Modern Europe: Identity Construction and Movements from 1890 to the Present Day(2019) 등의 저작을 출판했다.
