인물소개

미국 캘리포니아대학교 버클리캠퍼스 농생태학 명예교수로, 라틴아메리카 농생태학회를 창립했다. 저서로 『Agroecology: The Science of the Sustainable Agriculture』(Westview Press, 1995), 『Genetic Engineering in Agriculture: The Myths, Environmental Risk, and Alternatives』(Food First Books, 2004)가 있으며, 공저로 『Biodiversity and Pest Management in Agrosystems』(CRC Press, 2004), 『Forgotten Agricultural Heritage-Reconnecting Food Systems and Sustainable Development』(Routledge, 2017) 등이 있다.
